Airline and hotel marketers can now tag all destinations in their network according to Travel Themes – enabling travelers to filter results based on their travel interests. EveryMundo’s Travel Themes Expansion Sets can be customized to suit the needs of your destination network. For example, airlines could use tags like “Outdoors”, “Romantic”, and “Beaches” to tag their destinations and group these tags in a “Travel Type” category.

By using the Travel Themes Expansion Set, airlines can segment their campaigns by customers’ interests and display personalized destination offers.

How do Categories and Tags work?

Travel Themes are categorized into Travel Type and Traveler Type. Travel Type describes the destination, while the Traveler Type describes the traveler.  Every destination can be associated to different tags, so travelers can filter their destinations by their personality and interests.

Examples of destinations and their Travel Themes:

    Category: Travel Type

    • Paris = Romantic, Big City
    • Miami = Beaches, Big City
    • Zurich = Snowy, Big City
    • Washington State = Outdoors
    • Orlando = Family Fun

    Category: Traveler Type

    • Cannes = Senior, Couples
    • Miami = Friends, Family
    • Vegas = Friends
    • Orlando = Family

    Personalize your destination theme offers

By adding Travel Themes to your destinations, you can enable travelers to instantly view results according to their interests in all airModules – both on airTRFX pages and any other site. Travel Themes filters are available in all languages, making it easy for travelers to find and book a trip they are interested in. The feature allows the airline to define its custom Travel Themes as needed.

Associating locations with different themes allows airlines to use these as filters on specific airModules (Interactive Map, Dynamic Price airModule, etc.) and place them on Custom Pages for relevant user searches based on themes. Custom Pages are ideal for marketing campaigns and can be used in email, social media, and paid ads to drive more traffic to book on your website.
